Anyone that reads / had read or searched my blog knows I have been working off and on with getting the global ESA Global Fire Atlas working in World Wind. I did have it working at a point as an XML add-on but had run into an issue that the Fire Atlas is over two years of data. So you either got ALL the fires shown, or you had to edit the XML to change the dates you wanted to look at. Neither was a good option.

Well, in the last few days, withak has solved the issue I was having when he created the Historic MODIS plug-in. I brought up and the Fire Atlas and it was a similar type WMS. So we worked out with what I had built before and now we have this, the ESA Fire Atlas Plug-in.

This is daily updated fire data but you can also display fire data back for about the last two years.  Because of the features used, this plug-in will only work in the 1.4 version of World Wind (which is coming very soon).
