After a little pain and suffering and confusion.  I have a KML version of the Mogadishu Refugee Migration add-on.

Chad, you need to tell the server with your KML file on it to support the KML/KMZ mime types. That way the KML file will load immediately for people with Firefox and other browsers. Here is the instructions on what to do from the Google Earth help:

    http://earth.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=25094&query=mime+type&topic=&type=

Alternatively, you could just post your KML file on the Google Earth forums at http://bbs.keyhole.com/ and point your URL to the file attachment there. You can change your post attachment at any time if you need to update it, and the bandwidth is free. :-)

Hmm, the server already has kml and kmz mime types setup. I’ll try with the .htaccess method as well. Not sure why it is opening the file and not downloading :\

I have 2TB of bandwith and have yet to come close to sucking that all up :) But I should post it there anyway.. not many GE users frequent my blog ;)

Hmmm.. the BBS no like me.. every name I pick is “taken” .. you telling me there is a CZworldwind user registered? (Some searching tell me no, there is no user. Yet when I register it says the user exists)

I just had a friend try to register using one of the names I tried that it said was taken.. he could register it. o.0
