GeoAgSys 4D is a WWJava project that I have seen screen shots of over the last few months. The developer is still working on the program, so he does not have a whole lot online yet. But I do know this is an agricultural based version of WWJava.

Planned Features

  • Asset tracking of fixed and mobile systems such as vehicles, monitoring equipment, sprayers, etc
  • Hi-Res aerial imagery and elevation data
  • Real-time spatial interpolation of on-farm wireless sensor network data, disease and pest models
  • Real-time irrigation system scheduling based on spatially interpolated Evapotranspiration model
  • User-defined variable application for individual nozzle control.
  • Real-time monitoring of irrigation systems, realistic 3D models for linear, pivot, and fixed systems.
  • Remote control and monitoring of wind machines for frost protection.
  • 3D Models for visual representation of assets
  • Integrated online community networking for resource sharing of data to aid in regional decision making

This version of WWJava makes heavy use of 3D models to help represent data and the environment.
