FAA Sectionals and Controlling WWJava With WiiMote

Written by Chad on August 6th, 2008

First off we have a website up where you can download ALL of the FAA sectionals that Neil Neilson has been working on.  Matt Fox helped by providing the uploading from DVD to the website.  The files you can download are all merged and tiled for use in WorldWind.net and WWJava, you can make use of them elsewhere of course, but if you want to use them in Google Earth, use Matt’s super overlay KML for that then since he has set all this up already (and it is the same imagery).  Be warned if you want to download, you are looking at a couple of Gigabytes of data to download (Will have this as a layer for WorldWind before too long).

Also, Fabrizio Giudici has a post about a demonstration he saw where WWJava was being controlled by holding two LEDs and a WiiMote for receiving.  The source code for doing this is available on Google Code.  Not only can you control WWJava with the WiiMote, but the developer is also working on vocal commands as well.
